Continuing with my research on the magazine LWR Life, I read the Lakewood Ranch Life fall edition. The cover of this magazine has the same title, "LWR Life", in the same bold text in yellow and white as the other editions of the magazine. This particular edition has the main article on the Lakewood Ranch bees, so the subtitle on the cover is "The story behind Lakewood Ranch's bees" and a photo of bees covers the whole front. The article mentioned on the front cover "Land of Hives and Honey" that talks about the story of the bees is not found until page 74. Other articles that come first in the magazine are all about local events happening in Lakewood Ranch for fall time. This magazine has a variety of different advertisements all for local businesses around LWR such as furniture store, dentist office, and nail salon. These are found all through out the magazine.

To practice identifying and taking camera shots, we did an activity in class where we got into small groups to take a series of six different types of shots. Each group was given a camera and sent out to take the pictures. One of the magazines I did research on to gain information on the travel genre was LWR Life. This is a magazine with articles all about Lakewood Ranch, Florida. The cover has the title in big and bold text in the colors yellow and white with a picture of a Lakewood Ranch home and a sunset in the back. An article in this magazine is about the celebration that was held for the 25th anniversary of the Lakewood Ranch community. The magazine contains many local articles such as that one. The advertisements are many real estate companies or businesses around the area. The distribution number for this magazine is 90,450.

Relating to my last research post, I have researched a different edition of the same magazine Travel and Leisure. This edition has the title in the same size and font in the same place as the other edition, but the subtitle is different. This magazine is about trips around the world with the subtitle Trips of a Lifetime. The photo on the cover is a view from a window looking at one of the locations listed also on the cover. The types of articles this magazine has is informational about places that are good for traveling to and what kinds of things they offer. One of the advertisements is for a cruise line. This is appropriate for a travel magazine because it is a form of travel. The average distribution number for this magazine is 984,300.

Continuing with my research on travel magazines, I collected information from the Travel and Leisure magazine. The cover of this magazine has the title at the very top and added “plus food” after it because this edition is based on the best restaurants around the world. The cover has a photo of a restaurant on the lower half and the upper half has an orange design behind the title. All of the articles in this edition of the magazine are about different restaurants around the world and the different types of food. One example of an advertisement found in this magazine is a travel agency. This one was found on one of the very first pages. Most of the photos found in the magazine are beautiful sceneries from varying places around the world.

My group-mate and I have decided to make our project a travel magazine. I have researched magazines of the same type and gathered information from the Vail Valley magazine. The cover of this magazine has the title, a photo of a woman fishing in a stream, and her name off to the side. The cover also lists some of the articles that can be found inside the magazine. The title "Vail Valley" is in a special font in the colors red and white; this must be consistent on all of the issues of their magazines. One of the article titles is "New Eagle County Bike Trail." This appeared on page 22. It is a short article that explains a new bike trail open to all people and included a brief interview with the governor. Another article is "Camping Glamping and Cabins." This article is a few pages long from 42-48. The majority of these pages are photos of the locations that they write about.
